Recently, the Committee decided to open up to new categories such as cultural landscapes and routes, industrial heritage (for example, this year, Ivrea, the industrial city of the 20th century, in Italy), deserts, marine sites coastal and small island sites, so that the list is more diverse and more representative of World Heritage. The sites proposed for inscription must meet at least one of the ten selection criteria, such as, for example, representing a masterpiece of human creative genius, testifying to an exchange of influences during History, to bear exceptional testimony to a cultural tradition or to a living or extinct civilization, or else to represent natural phenomena of exceptional beauty and aesthetic importance or, of course, to be eminently representative examples of ecological and biological processes …

Too beautiful

May God forbid me to lose ROMANTICISM, even though I know roses don’t speak…
May I not lose my OPTIMISM, even knowing that the future that awaits us may not be so happy…
May I not lose the WILL TO LIVE, even though life is, in many moments, painful…
May I not lose the desire to HAVE GREAT FRIENDS, even though I know that, as the world goes around, they end up leaving our lives…
May I not lose the desire to HELP PEOPLE, even though I know that many of them are incapable of seeing, recognizing, and giving back, this help…
May I not lose BALANCE, even though I know that countless forces want me to fall…
May I not lose the WILL TO LOVE, even though the person I love the most may not feel the same feeling for me…
May I not lose the LIGHT AND SHINE IN THE EYES, even knowing that many things I will see in the world will darken my eyes…
May I not lose GRIP, even knowing that defeat and loss are two extremely dangerous opponents…
May I not lose REASON, even though I know that the temptations of life are countless and delicious…
May I not lose the FEELING OF JUSTICE, even knowing that the harmed one may be me…
May I not lose my STRONG EMBRACE, even knowing that one day my arms will be weak…
May I not lose the BEAUTY AND JOY OF SEEING, even knowing that many tears will spring from my eyes and run down my soul…
May I not lose LOVE FOR MY FAMILY, even though I know that it would often require incredible efforts to maintain its harmony…
May I not lose the desire to DONATE THIS HUGE LOVE that exists in my heart, even though I know that it will often be submitted and even rejected…
May I not lose my desire to BE BIG, even though the world is small… And above all…
May I never forget that God loves me infinitely!
That a small grain of joy and hope within each one is capable of changing and transforming anything, because…

Priority Test

Imagine that five things happen simultaneously that need to be attended to.

  1. The phone is ringing.
  2. The baby is crying.
  3. Someone knocks on the door.
  4. There are fresh laundry hanging on the backyard clothesline and it starts to rain.
  5. Kitchen faucet is open and gushing water.

In what order do you solve the problems? Write down the order and see how you made the decision below. Each situation represents something in your life.

  1. The phone represents ………….. (your job or career).
  2. The baby represents ……………… (your family).
  3. The visitor represents ………….. (your friends).
  4. Washed clothes represent …….. (your sex life).
  5. Running water represents …….(money or wealth).

The result makes you think?…
Did it match your priorities?…
The clothes on the clothesline got all wet, didn’t they?…

This text was worth the day! 👏👏👏👏

Maria Jiló is a 92-year-old woman, tiny and so elegant, that every day at 8 am she is already fully dressed, well-coiffed and discreetly made up, despite her little vision.

Today she has moved into a nursing home: her husband, with whom she has lived for 70 years, died recently and there was no other solution.

After waiting patiently for 2 hours in the living room, she still gave a beautiful smile when the attendant came to say that her room was ready. As she maneuvered the walker toward the elevator, the attendant gave a description of her tiny room, including the flowered curtains that graced the window.

The lady interrupted her with the enthusiasm of a little girl who has just been given a puppy! “Oh, I love those curtains!”

Attendant: But “Maria Jiló”, you haven’t even seen your room yet. Wait one moment…

“This has nothing to do with it,” she replied, “Happiness is something you decide on principle. Whether or not I like my room doesn’t depend on how the furniture is arranged. It will depend on how I prepare my expectation. And I’ve already decided I’m gonna love it. It’s a decision I make every day when I wake up. You know, I can spend the whole day in bed, telling the difficulties I have in certain parts of my body that don’t work well… Or I can get out of bed thanking the other parts that still obey me.

“That simple?” – asks the attendant.

“Not so much; this is for those who have self-control and everyone can learn. It took some ‘training’ from me over the years, but it’s good to know that I can still direct my thoughts and choose my feelings accordingly.”

Calmly the lady continued:

“Every day is a gift, and as my eyes open, I will focus on the new day, but also the joyful memories that I kept for this time of life. Old age is like a bank account: you only withdraw what you keep. So my advice to you is to deposit a lot of joy and happiness in your Memories Account. And, by the way, thank you for this deposit of yours in my Memory Bank. As you can see, I still deposit and still believe that however complex life is, wise is the one who simplifies it.

Then she asked to write down:

  1. Leave out non-essential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about it.
  2. Keep your funny friends. Depressives try to help them, if you can.
  3. Always learn. Learn more about computers, arts, gardening, whatever. Do not let the brain become lazy.
‘A lazy mind is the German’s workshop.’ And the German’s name is Alzheimer’s!
  4. Appreciate the little things more. Enjoy more.
  5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you are out of breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him/her!
  6. When the tears come. Hold on, suffer and overcome. The only person who stays with us our whole life is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.
  7. Surround yourself with the things you love: family, animals, plants, hobbies, whatever.
  8. Take care of your health:
    If it’s good, keep it.
    If it’s unstable, improve it.
If you can’t improve it, get help.
  9. Don’t take guilty trips. Take a trip to the mall, to a different country, but NOT where there is guilt.
  10. Tell people that you love them, and that you love every opportunity to be with them.

And if you don’t send this to at least four people – who cares? There will only be four fewer people who will stop smiling when they see a message from you.

But if you can, at least share it with someone!
“One day you learn that true friendships continue to grow even over long distances. And what matters is not what you have in life, but who you have in life.”

Beautiful story – amazing

An amazing story

The famous Italian diver, Enzo Majorca, swam in the warm waters of the Siracusa sea and chatted with his daughter Rossana, who had stayed on the boat.

Ready to submerge, he felt something tap lightly on his back. He turned and saw a dolphin. He realized then that he didn’t want to play, but to express something.

The animal dove and Enzo followed.

About 12 meters deep, trapped in an abandoned net, was another dolphin.

Majorca quickly asked her daughter to pick up her diving knives. In a few minutes the two managed to free the dolphin, which, at the limit of its strength, managed to emerge, emitting an “almost human scream” (so described Majorca).

A dolphin can only resist underwater for up to 10 minutes, then it drowns.

The freed dolphin, still stunned, was controlled by Enzo, Rossana and the other dolphin.

Then came the surprise: It was a dauphin, which soon gave birth to a baby.

The male circled them and, stopping in front of Enzo, touched his cheek (as if it were a kiss), in a gesture of gratitude… And they walked away.

Enzo Mallorca ended his speech saying: “Until man learns to respect and dialogue with the animal world, he will never be able to know his true role on this Earth.”

Remedy for burns

In a first aid course, Firefighters taught the following:

When burns occur, large or small, the first of all is: place the affected part under the tap with cold running water until the heat and the burning of the burn subsides. Then cover the entire length of the wound with EGGWHITE (or GLAIR or ALBUMEN or ICING).

One day, while heating water, a person bumped into the pot and part of the boiling water burned a large part of her hand.

Then she put his burnt hand under the cold tap to relieve the burning sting. The pain was unbearable.

Then she broke two eggs.

She separated the EGGWHITE and put it over the wound. Her hand was so burned, that while she put it lightly over her skin, it dried to form a film.

She knew it was NATURAL COLLAGEN.

And she continued putting in hand, covers and more covers of EGGWHITE for an hour.

A little later she was no longer in pain. The next day, there was only a small reddish mark where the burn had been.

After 10 days there was no longer any mark of that horrible burn.

The burnt part has recovered because of the EGGWHITE which contains a substance called COLLAGEN which, in reality, is a placenta full of regenerating vitamins.

Hope this may help someone in need!
