ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”

ABBA – unforgettable, before their Majesties

The first performance of the song “Dancing Queen” by ABBA was on the night of June 18, 1976, at a pre-wedding party by King Carl Gustaf & Silvia, at the Royal Swedish Opera. The passion for the King’s bride, on the part of the Swedish people, was so great that the most important musical group in the history of Sweden decided to keep the debut of “Dancing Queen”, their biggest hit, for Silvia.

We can see this great moment of world music in this video; Silvia & Carl appear in the final ten seconds. She with a smile from ear to ear, him expressing more happiness than the average of the European kings of the time.

Behind them are Silvia’s parents, the Brazilian Alice and the German Walther!

Precious!

Enjoy!
