The Matrix Resurrections

22 years ago, the cinema world was forever changed when The Matrix came out… I was blown away by the story, the concept, the special effects, the soundtrack… It was as if the perfect sci-fi movie was made!

The movie became a trilogy like it was meant to be from the beginning, with mixed opinions, not only by the so-called critics but especially by the fans. 4 years later, the trilogy was closed and forever meant that the cinematic matrix universe was closed (I need to make a reference to “Animatrix”, which was one hell of a ride into some pretty cool sidekick Matrix stories)!

2021 was blessed with a fourth Matrix movie, Matrix Revolutions…

And there you go, without further notice, I went into it again… I took the red pill almost blindfolded!

If you’re a fan of the original trilogy, this is the red pill you must take to be blown back into the Matrix!

The Merovingian

Idiocrassy

This movie is an ode to idiocy.
A sarcastic view of society, which has become so consumerist and with a decrease in the desire to make the new generations think… Sad and desperate even to think of an evolution of this magnitude in stupidity, in the lack of scruples, in the almost animalistic experience of society…
It’s a slap to us all, in order to focus attention on what surrounds us and not get carried away by superficiality, by the disposable…
Balance has never been more necessary than it is today… The garbage mountain range, also an extension of a problem that is debated nowadays and that must be mitigated and resolved, so that future generations can not only learn, but also execute and improve processes…
The stupidity of TV, with programs where the need to think is nil, where momentary pleasure abounds is also focused, ironically…
It’s a silly comedy, but it raises big questions, which should force us to introspect…
I highly recommend it, for an exaggeration that I hope will never even rub against reality.

Io

Netflix really got itself in the film business, and so this sci-fi it’s one of its offerings… Io it’s one of Jupiter’s moon and also the name of one of Zeus human passion and so this film kind of get us lost into a bit of mythology thing… I think it had more potential than this final version gives us but, nonetheless, it’s a cool film for the sci-fi freaks out there!

I am Mother

In a dystopian future, a female android /robot becomes humanity last resource of a mother to a human child.

A movie with a very interesting story and with the ever amazing Hillary Swank side by side with a XXI century Sigourney Weaver, miss Rose Byrne!

An interesting and pleasant surprise!

The day after tomorrow

Sigh…

Once again, the need to watch a catastrophe kind of movie was overwhelming…

Started to watch this one a few days back on Syfy and thought, well, need to rewatch it… And that’s what I did yesterday…

This one still got a bit of adventure, but it goes from science sci-fi, or not, to Hollywood blockbuster…

Nonetheless, when I was finishing it, I was wondering with myself, why I needed to watch this kind of movies, like I did a few days back with 2012… And maybe it’s because, in spite of a global catastrophe, in the end it brings hope that things will get better, even though in a different kind of way!

Let’s have hope to overcome this Covid-19! We will endure!

2012

Honestly, this is not a movie to rewatch during this time of quarantine… bu I really wanted to, so I did it!

It’s a blockbuster, it’s a very long movie, lots of special effects, but in the end, it’s a story about survival, the need for humanity to unite… And that’s what is going on nowadays… We have to unite in order to defeat this Covid-19 (coronavirus)!

I’ve found some strength here, believe in what we need to achieve together…

Unite were stronger!
