Supernova

Supernova is a star that reaches its peak and explodes into billions of small particles that will become life in another part of the cosmos.
This film takes us on a journey of love, sharing, remembering, wanting, leaving… And it leads us to an interior supernova.
A beautiful and pure love written in the stars of the night, in the Milky Way that not only encompasses the heavenly vault but is also inscribed in the core of each one of us!
The beauty of the photography in this film is idyllic, the landscapes are breathtaking, so beautiful and poetic the way they are screened to us and the soundtrack lulls us into a story shared by the road not only of the journey itself but also of the journey of Life!
The intensity of the story is sometimes stifling, as we feel so much in the skin of each of the protagonists, Sam and Tusker!
The brilliant work of the actors, Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci is chilling… The faithful delivery of a story that can be as real as it is vivid!
A delight and a grip are feelings that pervade us at the end of this film.
I do recommend it.

“We will not starve for lack of wonders, but from lack of wonder.”

The Velvet Underground

Whether you like or hate them, The Velvet Underground documentary it’s a piece of art!

History is exposed in this doc, not only the bands but also the 60’s explosion of art in its most ubiquity… The caldron that fostered miscegenation of arts was presented in the form of a unique band, The Velvet Underground!

To find the roots of alternative music in all its aspects within this doc!

It’s just a restless feeling by my side
Early dawning, Sunday morning
It’s just the wasted years so close behind

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Marvel has finally come to amends with its Asian superheroes and what a great way to do it!

You will find not just lots of amazing special effects, but incredible martial arts performances, that brings us back to “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” almost balladesque scenes (and it brought Michelle Yeoh to this universe too)… Lots of humor with Awkwafina and Simu Liu mixed with the action that Marvel made it its own!

It is almost a crossover movie, between the Holywood-based Marvel to Asian cinematic!

You are the product of all who came before you, the legacy of your family. You are your mother. And whether you like it or not, you are also your father.

Dune: parte one

Dune, the book saga it’s a fascinating journey throughout science fiction adventure intertwined with a vast richness of characters and their own struggles and history!

This new adaptation brings Dune to life again with incredible and state-of-the-art special effects… They’re just mind-blowing!

As far as the story goes, like the title says, this is just part one… Still, it should consolidate the character’s arc stories a bit more, let’s just wait until the second half fills some blanks leftover!

Nonetheless, go watch it if you a fan of the saga or if you like science fiction in its purity!

Respect

Diva, Aretha Franklin, Queen of Soul life!

A great biography movie, of this one and only woman! She put her heart and soul in everything she did and it became timeless. And I won’t even mention the soundtrack, because it’s pure gold! And Jennifer Hudson sings with soul and heart too!

Above all, she was an entertainer and a movement rights front-woman! RESPECT!

Singing for the movement, and sending people into battle with a song is not enough anymore. I need to be with them.

Idiocrassy

This movie is an ode to idiocy.
A sarcastic view of society, which has become so consumerist and with a decrease in the desire to make the new generations think… Sad and desperate even to think of an evolution of this magnitude in stupidity, in the lack of scruples, in the almost animalistic experience of society…
It’s a slap to us all, in order to focus attention on what surrounds us and not get carried away by superficiality, by the disposable…
Balance has never been more necessary than it is today… The garbage mountain range, also an extension of a problem that is debated nowadays and that must be mitigated and resolved, so that future generations can not only learn, but also execute and improve processes…
The stupidity of TV, with programs where the need to think is nil, where momentary pleasure abounds is also focused, ironically…
It’s a silly comedy, but it raises big questions, which should force us to introspect…
I highly recommend it, for an exaggeration that I hope will never even rub against reality.

Snake Eyes: G. I. Joe Origins

Another take in the G.I. Joe saga and this time we go up back to the beginning!

It’s a pretty cool adventure movie, but sometimes the cogs of the story get stuck at certain moments… With all the action/adventure/fantasy blockbusters that we have been gifted over the last few years, with such an improved narrative, the existence of these blockages leaves a bitter aftertaste…

Nonetheless the action scenes are amazing and the photography it’s also great!

And, last but definitely not the least, the everlasting Tokyo, Úrsula Corberó, has the fantastic Baroness!

Abandon ego. Practice selflessness. Strike with honor.

Joe Bell

A must-see film. Reid Miller’s performance is astonishing and Mark Wahlberg too.

The only tiny detail that it could make it even better is a bit flaws during the story telling… But it still ca brings us to our knees with this true story.

And it made me write something about one of humanities worst nature, not accepting the diference… Sad but still so damn true…

One of the biggest scourges at school is bullying. The difficulty that human beings have in accepting the difference is something that transcends me. Why do we all have to be the same? Why is the supposed normality established in society? What is it really like to be normal?
Everything that escapes the conception of a hypocritical, selfish and individualistic society, which is governed by social position, not looking to talent, to the struggle for personal achievement where sometimes difficulties are disqualified, but by the need to focus at any cost, destroys many a dreams, many struggles and unfortunately many lives.
Some people have become parasites, as they tend to live with the urge to be known at all costs, whether for the values he has, good and bad, or for the prominence of power, which adds nothing to their existence, just inflating their pedantry. They have nothing to give, but they think they are all that others need.
Unfortunately, and with the dawn of the Internet, of the idea of a global village, of the union of all, the reverse side of the coin was and is being very hard. Each time an individual centrism is denoted, each one sees himself as better than the other, that only what he/she says and writes is the absolute truth, where opinion becomes the rule… And with all the risks that this entails, if lives are lost, the supposed normality is further delimited.
Normal is a person to be happy, normal is a person to live with others, normal is to live in line with nature, normal is to respect, normal is to live and let live, normal is to fight for human rights, normal is a powerful word that only it must so simply mean openness and respect.
Let us live our lives and let each other live theirs.
Respect, tolerance, acceptance, friendship, will… Words that must be part of each one of us.
Let us be happy in our oneness. We are unique and in this way we make humanity brighter and more beautiful.
