”I share with you this rarity that was sent from France by an old photo collector. Who travels to Oporto, can still see, on the waterfront, the anchorages of such a bridge, as well as the entrance. M.G.S.
This photograph deserves all the attention given to its particularity of showing the extinct Suspension Bridge alongside Luis I Bridge which should make it a photographic rarity since both

bridges  coexisted  over a short period of time, between 1886 and 1887. The image it was obtained by George Tait, from the place where today is the Hill Garden!
